We had several customers that were looking for this functionality. One software company wanted to generate unique promotion codes from their software and send these promotion codes to prospects who request one using a Marketo web form.
Thus the functionality needed was that, when a new prospect fills a Marketo web form, business logic in Marketo should ‘fetch’ a new, unused promotion code from a list of promotion codes and send it via email.
We created an integrated solution for them using web hooks at Brighthooks.com and some simple Marketo smart campaigns that allows them to securely upload a promotion code CSV file.
When a Marketo form is filled, automatically an unused coupon code gets picked up from that promotion codes table and gets included in the email.
